Structure of therapy and treatment
Therapy Preparation: Setting up the Control Unit
Regardless of which treatment area you would like to treat, the following steps must be carried out to prepare for the therapy:
- Place the therapy device on a firm, level surface and ensure that an electrical outlet is within reach.
- Plug the device plug of the adapter into the jack on the rear panel of the device.
- Plug the adapter into a socket.
- Plug the connection cables into the jacks on the rear panel of the device.
Note: Older devices are fitted with two-colour jacks and cables. Ensure the colours match when plugging in the cables.
Treating Hands and Feet
Hands or feet are treated in a shallow water bath that should only cover the skin areas undergoing treatment.
The two halves of the carrying case may be separated and used as tubs for this purpose. Alternatively, ergonomic trays are recommended for hand treatments as they provide a comfortable wrist rest during therapy.
Steps for Preparation:
- Place one treatment electrode in each shell case or treatment tray. When using ergonomic trays, ensure the lowered wrist rest side faces you.
- Place treatment grids on the electrodes or fully cover them with treatment towels.
- Plug the connection cables into the electrode connectors, ensuring they are pushed fully to the collars.
- Fill the shell cases or trays with lukewarm tap water until the treatment areas are completely covered.
Treating Hands and Feet Simultaneously
For simultaneous treatment of hands and feet, you will need, in addition to the standard equipment,
a pair of ergonomic trays and the DUO accessory set, consisting of treatment electrodes, towels, and DUO connector cables. Use the shell cases for foot treatment and the ergonomic trays for hands. The DUO cable enables simultaneous connection of all electrodes.
Is treatment with the DUO set suitable for me?
Treating the Armpit Area
For treating excessive sweating in the armpit area, use special axillary applicators instead of water baths. Soak the sponge pouches thoroughly with lukewarm water (do not wring out).
Tip: Divide the treatment into two 7-minute sessions, soaking the applicators again in between for best results.
Treating the Face
When treating the face with the face mask, the therapy current flows from the contact area on the face to another contact area on a hand or foot immersed in a water bath. Ensure the mask is well soaked before use, apply even pressure, and ensure a snug fit to maximize contact.
