HIDREX Iontophoresis Treatment in Detail
The HIDREX therapy involves the application of a mild direct or pulsed current through the affected areas of the body. This current is administered via a water bath, which helps reduce sweat secretion in the skin regions immersed in the treatment water. HIDREX therapy is carried out through hand and foot baths or, for areas like the underarms, face, neck, or back, using special sponge applicators.
The treatment with LWI (tap water iontophoresis) is comparable to fitness training, where the quality of results depends on how disciplined one is with the therapy routine.
At the start of the therapy (initial phase), it is recommended to perform sessions three times a week, each lasting about 15 minutes. After approximately 10 sessions, sweating is typically normalized. To maintain the results, one to three treatments per week are usually sufficient.
The therapeutic effect is reversible, meaning that once the therapy is discontinued, sweating will gradually return over time.
